My name is Kim

& I am a preemie mom.

I have a heart for families who have had preemies & for those families who have felt the pain of losing a baby, since we have been through both.

  Our oldest son Caleb was born at 28 weeks gestation. Now he is a normal active boy. Our daughter Alexia was born at 36 weeks gestation. She had complications of amniotic band syndrome & lived for 1 hour & 16 minutes without breathing. Our youngest son was born at 38 weeks gestation. Read our children's birth stories at 'about us'.

These dolls can not replace a child, but they can bring comfort & remembrance of the child.

  When we would tell someone that our son was born at 28 weeks, was 2# 6 oz. & 13 1/2" long they couldn't fathom how small he was & really understand all he has gone through. That was until my mother-in-law bought a birth size doll from Sandy Eding. As I showed people what he looked like a birth, they realized that he has come a very long way.

   Occasionally I also forget how big our daughter was, until I made a ‘specialty doll’ of her. It shows her malformations without being offensive (or scary) to others, (see her doll in 'doll photos' ).
